The Healthy Places Coalition advances public health involvement in land-use and transportation planning to ensure that all neighborhoods in California promote the opportunity to live a healthy life. The Coalition consists of practitioners from the planning, public health, parks and recreation, and other related fields, community advocates, academics, and concerned individuals committed to social and health equity from around the state.

2009 California Healthy Cities and Commuunities Annual Conference - "Lean Green and Graying: Addressing Current Trends in Challenging Economic Times"
Registration is now open for the 2009 CA Healthy Cities and Communities annual conference, which will be held on April 23, 2009 at The California Endowment, Center for Healthy Communities, in Los Angeles. The keynote address will be delivered by Marion Standish, Program Director, The CA Endowment. Other conference highlights include a plenary, interactive panels, and spirited roundtable discussions.
